???? Package Overview
This is an early release and not all features are 100% production ready.
1. Moving Formation package in its core provides a system which calculates desired positions of each unit while moving in any formation.
It does not use navigation internally, so you are free to use any navigation system you’d like
Many configurations to adjust behaviour of formations (speed, rotation, split/join, etc.)
Provides interface to move various units types in a different segment of the formation (like infantry, archers, cavalry, etc.)
Experimental features available, but not complete/under development
2. In addition it provides a Unit Formation package for built-in control and unit management.
Both provide built-in integration with:
Native Unity NavMesh ✅ (Full)
A* Pathfinding Project ⚠️ (Partial)Unit Formation has full support, formation system does not. However you can implement the interface on your own to give it full support)
With all this you can control movement of your units out of the box using a cursor or simply initiate movement through code! (included examples in Demo scenes)
Integration with your project will almost certainly require some coding, depending on your requirements. Check out 2 ways to integrate in the ???? Official Guide.
Disclaimer: Take note of the preview video which uses 3rd party models to showcase formation movement. Synty models are not part of the asset.
