In this pack of animations, we’ve tried to do something different from what we normally do. This pack gives you several animations of a single action: opening a door, but in different ways. This 1.5 update is the proving ground for our new motion capture system. We’ve gone further than the standard door-opening animation and we’ve chosen to make a variety of animations, offering a number of original scenarios such as door-holing, lifting a door with Herculean force, knocking on the door without anyone answering, looking for your keys etc.
Combined with the update, this pack now contains 41 unique animations. All the animations are captured in motion capture and retouched manually. The motion capture was performed by four different performers in order to bring different gestures to the same action.
Please note that only the animations are sold, the 3D model is only present for aesthetic and technical purposes. You won’t find any scenery or doors in the pack. It’s up to you to adapt the door animation to the character animation. We’ve animated the fingers on most of the animations.
List of animations:
-8 normal / standard door openings
-5 door openings with the shoulder
-5 door openings with the foot
-4 closing door
-1 animation where the character checks that the door is closed
-2 animation where the person opens the door and is shocked by what they discover
-2 unsuccessful attempts to open the door
-2 door lock picking
-4 knocking on the door but no-one answers
-2 lifting the door
-1 animation where the character listens at the door
-1 animation where he looks for his keys but can’t find them
-1 animation where he looks for his keys and finally finds them
-2 animations where the person punches the glass of a door and then turns the doorknob on the other side
-an animation where the person slowly opens the door document because they are afraid
